Welshpool Town are extremely pleased to announce 19 local schools have signed up to our Schools programme for this season.
Last season saw the launch of the Football Club’s exciting new Schools Programme. At every home match a local school will have their
opportunity to have their Special Day with the Lilywhites. The first school this season will be Abermule School on Saturday 15th September
the home match against Bangor.
Before their Special Day, Steve Hughes ( Chairman ), two players and of course, Pogo The Club Mascot will visit the school to meet the children at their school
assembly. All the children who attend the the school are given a Special Welshpool Town Pass that will allow them to come to all home games in the Welsh
Premier free of charge for the next 12 months as long as they are accompanied with a paying adult. This season we will have given out over 3,000 Free Season
Tickets to local children.
Before the match the children will have their photographs taken with the players. The children are also entered into a free draw with the winner receiving a
Welshpool Town kit which they will wear as Club Mascot at the next home match , second prize is a ball autographed by all the players.
The School also has 2 pages in the match day programme to display childrens' work or promote their school.
The Schools Programme is going from strength to strength with new schools joining the programme every year. Any school wishing to join should ring Mike as
